Nature of the Great Salt Lake

Day 1 - We depart from your hotel in Salt Lake City.   The most exciting areas we visit are Bear River Bird Refuge & Antelope Island.  Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is a spectacular National Wildlife Refuge established in 1928.  The 12 mile loop road provides access to thousands of water birds and is outstanding for bird photography.  Antelope Island State Park is another well known destination for birders and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world.  During migration the causeway to the island can have a unbelievable number of birds as far as the eye can see.  There are also 3 species of Owls that nest on the island as well.  We tailor the itinerary according to the season to provide the best birding opportunities - also if you have any specific birds you want to target we will gladly accommodate requests. Our guide has over 20 years of experience guiding birders and is an expert on the birds and wildlife of the West.  Whether you are looking to add one species to your life list or just want to see amazing wildlife this is a unique and fun  tour!

Tour includes transportation, entrance fees to parks lisited in the itinerary, and guide services.  Meals, drinks, gratuities, and items of a personal nature are not included.
